We woke up and we were docked right outside of Montego Bay, Jamaica.

What a thrill to not only see land, but to look off the deck at beautiful rolling hills. A country I've always wanted to visit… I had goosebumps! We were taking an excursion called "The Original Canopy Tour," better described as "fly through the woods." My expectation was something similar to the scenes near the end of the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," but these expectations were far surpassed.

Basically, we were taken on a canopy tour where we would glide from post to post on the tops of trees in the wilderness, being assisted by extremely well-trained and helpful tour guides. It was amazing. Here are some pictures:

I absolutely loved Jamaica. The people, especially those we met working the canopy tour, were some of the kindest and most courteous that I have ever met. Even our cab driver, when we went into town after the tour (though he charged us an arm and a leg), was helpful in making sure we ate somewhere great. He would come back and meet us to take us to our next destination and got us back to the boat on time. He gave us lots of history about the area and it was a pleasure knowing him. My only complaint about Jamaica, and stands true with any area with a lot of poverty is the constant pressure of people on the street trying to sell you things. Comes with the territory I guess.

The Tuesday night show was a late one, and knowing that only four hours of sleep were in order afterwards before a morning of snorkeling in Grand Cayman, we prepared by taking a huge nap around 5:00… once midnight rolled around, moe hit us with a huge "Kids Sandwich."…. meaning that they opened with the song "Kids" and closed with a reprise… in the middle were smoking versions of classics like Timmy Tucker & She Sends Me, as well as some new ones I wasn't familiar with… but like all the other shows so far, almost completely seamless, one song jammed into the next in unpredictable fashion. There was even a short Bathtub Gin tease towards the end that left most of us shaking our heads. Another rockin show, but by the time this one was over, most of us were ready to fall over. It had been one long day!!!
