National Lampoon's Van Wilder

I cant say enough great things about Van Wilder. The movie is hysterical, and most people didn't even hear about it when it was in the theaters. I recall seeing one newspaper ad, and shrugging it off since I wasn't a fan of "Two Guys and a Girl", and Tara Reid is not my favorite actress. But hands-down, Van Wilder made me laugh harder than any other last year. Definitely loads of "bathroom humor," some of the funniest lines ever, and great characters!

What I am wondering, is when some of the cast members are going to do something else exciting. The best performance in my opinion is by Kal Penn (far right), who plays Taj Mahal Badalandabad, Van's assistant. If this guy doesn't leave you in stitches, you need to get your pulse checked! Kal is also from Montclair, New Jersey, which is the last place I would have guessed!

Ryan Reynolds also shines in the starring role. I can't picture anyone else bringing such life to this character, and I'm anxious to see him in another film. Tara Reid, much like her character in the American Pie series, looks good, but that's about it. Her acting is so bad it's almost painful. Thankfully there's enough laughs here to make it not matter.

If you haven't seen it, get it done!
